Read all summer long!

Every 2 Hours of Reading Time = Hero Prize
10 Hours of Reading Time = Superhero Prize Pack
Each Additional Hour of Reading = Prize Drawing Ticket

Register for our 2015 Summer Reading Games, "Every Hero Has A Story" @ your local Massanutten Regional Library branch starting Monday, June 1. Lots of great prizes and free special events. Don't miss out!

When a child (0-17) registers for the Summer Reading Games, he or she will receive a Free Friday Wristband. The wristband is your child’s free pass to all Free Friday venues. Each child will receive ONE free wristband and they MUST register for the Summer Reading Games to receive it. Replacement wristbands may be purchased for $2 at any branch.

Super Pool Pass Week

When you sign up for the Summer Reading Games you will receive a Super Pool Pass! This pass is good for one free child’s admission with a paying adult at your choice of either Ashby Pool, Broadway Community Pool, Grand Caverns Pool, Timberville Pool, or Westover Pool during the week of June 7-13. Check here for pool hours and locations. All pool rules apply.

Find out about this wonderful production by Mountain Marionettes at the Bridgewater Town Hall, Thursday, July 23 @ 11 AM!

Mission Rescue: Dogs in Need of Forever Homes @ YOUR Library

Come to North River Library Thursday, June 11 @ 2 PM to hear from Laura Burchfield, a local teen whose family has made it their mission to rescue stray dogs and foster them until they find a forever home.

Read with the Turks @ YOUR Library

Players from the Harrisonburg Turks Baseball team will be stopping by to read and sign autographs, Thursday, June 18 @ 11 AM!

Job of a Firefighter @ YOUR Library

Local firefighters will share their stories of why they decided on their job, how they became firefighters and what it takes to continue in their job on Thursday, June 18 @ 2 PM.

Read with the Chick-fil-A Cow @ YOUR Library

The Chick-fil-A Cow will be joining storytime on Thursday, July 9 @ 11 AM.

Summer STEM: Heroes of Design @ YOUR Library

Kids in grades K-5, dig into crafty conundrums and tunnel through intriguing books @ YOUR Library’s Hero Construction craft time Tuesdays @ 2 PM, June 9-July 28.

Lego Club @ YOUR Library

Let your imagination go WILD! Create and build with Legos 2nd Tuesdays @ 4 PM. Bigger blocks for smaller hands also available.

Dogs 2 Read 2 @ YOUR Library

Grab a book, get comfy & read to your library’s very own registered therapy dog 4th Tuesdays @ 4 PM. All reading levels are encouraged.
