Kids of all ages: make a big splash at Story Time with Mermaid Pearl! Swim down to the library to meet her and listen to some tales (tails?) from under the sea.

Mermaid Pearl is a professional freshwater mermaid based out of central Virginia! She believes that imagination and creativity are infinitely important in opening doors, breaking boundaries, and creating a better world. As a creature of myth, legend, and Disney movies, she hopes to use her voice and tail to instill a sense of wonder in both children and adults, inspiring them to not only look for magic, but create it!

(She's also acutely aware that her lack of legs makes her different from the average human, and she wants to show kids that it's not bad to be different from the norm)
