Dr. David K. McQuilkin, Bridgewater College Professor of History and Political Science, Emeritus, presents an examination of modern Russia, with a focus on Vladimir Putin and the historical circumstances and factors behind the invasion of Ukraine.
David K. McQuilkin received a B.A. from Muskingum College and earned his M.A. and Ph.D. from Kent State University. He also holds an M.S.L.S. from Case Western Reserve University. He taught Russian history, Middle East history, East Asian history and World history, as well as numerous political science courses at Bridgewater College until his retirement in 2009. He has traveled extensively in both Russia and Australia and provides periodic political commentaries on local media.
