SYSTEM WIDE MEDIA POLICY
We welcome and appreciate media partners in the promotion of our MRL’s mission and services. We ask that media seek approval first before doing a story about MRL services or one that takes place within any of our seven branches, including patron interviews or photographs. Requests for media approval should be directed to the Director of Advancement or to the MRL Director in his or her absence. Only the MRL Director and or the Director of Advancement may give media approval.
In order to maintain a cohesive marketing and advertising strategy, all requests for advertisement design, placement, and purchase must be sent to the Director of Advancement for analysis before approval.
REQUEST FOR MRL LOGO AND LOGO USAGE
The MRL logo may not be used on any advertisements or collateral materials without prior consent of the Director of Advancement. Additionally the logo may not be altered, broken apart, or lose its aspect ratio in design. To request a jpeg file of the logo and or logo specification sheet including Pantone colors, contact the Director of Advancement.
CENTRAL LIBRARY COMMUNITY BULLETIN BOARD/BROCHURE RACK POLICY
All community promotional flyers, brochures and signs must be left at the Central Library circulation desk to be approved and posted by the Circulation Manager. MRL generally approves most material that is of community benefit, non-profit in nature, or is raising funds for a non-profit cause. MRL reserves the right to refuse any material that is deemed as a sales promotion, in poor taste or not of value to the community. MRL is not held responsible for posted items that are damaged or removed by non-library staff.
