Lost or Damaged Materials
Although MRL is a fine-free library for overdue items, fees may apply for lost or damaged items. Please contact MRL if you think you may have lost an item. We are always happy to work with you..
If you pay for a lost item and then find the item within 60 days, please return it for a refund of the cost of the item. Refunds over $20 paid for with cash or checks require a check to be sent to the patron. Processing fees are not refunded.
Damaged items are individually assessed. Patron will be contacted if there is a charge for damage.
We do not accept replacement items in place of payment.
Audiobooks
- Entire set: Full Cost of item, plus $5 process fee
- Individual CD: $10 per CD if the individual piece can be replaced, if not, the full cost of the item plus $5 process fee is charged
- Graphics: $2
- Packaging: $9 for 1-12 pockets, $12 for 13-24 pockets, $16 for 25-40 pockets. If only one sleeve is missing it is $3
- Security strip: $2.50
Playaways
- Entire item: Full cost of item, plus $5 process fee
- Case: $6
- Graphics: $2
- Foam insert: $3
- Battery cover: $1
DVDs/Videos
- Entire item or main disc: Full cost of the item, plus $5 process fee
- “Bonus” DVD: $8, if the bonus DVD was an alternate version of the movie (i.e. widescreen version) the fee will be half the full cost of the DVD
- Part of a series: Full cost of that item plus $5 process fee; patron may keep additional discs
- Graphics: $2
- Insert: $4
- Case: $4 for single, $6 for double, $8 for 4 or more (fee includes graphics)
- Security strip: $2.50
Music CDs
- Entire item: Full cost of item, plus $5 process fee
- Graphics: $2
- Case: $3 for single, $4 for double, $6 for 4 or more (fee includes graphics)
- Lid: $2
- Tray: $1
Books
- Book: Full cost of item, plus $5 process fee
- Book cover: $3
Magazines, Maps, Newspapers, and Pamphlets
- Item: Cover cost of the item found in our records
