Deyerle Program Series on Local History Session III: The 1910 Legal Lynching of Pink Barbour

2025's Deyerle theme is African American History in the Shenandoah Valley! For the third lecture, Gianluca De Fazio, Ph.D., associate professor in JMU's Department of Justice Studies, will discuss the case of Pink Barbour, a Harrisonburg man in his early 20s who was put to death by electric chair less than three months after being accused of murder.

  10. How Can You Access and Correct Your Information? You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by emailing us using the contact form provided to you within the site structure of our website.
