Deyerle Program Series on Local History - Harrisonburg's Civil War Hospital

Local author Bill Miller will speak about medical aspects of the Civil War in Harrisonburg, including the hospitals and the principal figures -- physicians, nurses, civilians, etc. -- connected with the hospitals. He will discuss how the presence of the hospitals influenced life in town and in Rockingham. The story of the hospitals in Harrisonburg helps us gain a clearer picture of medical care in general during the Civil War and Harrisonburg's role in the broader events of the war in the Shenandoah Valley.

  10. How Can You Access and Correct Your Information? You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by emailing us using the contact form provided to you within the site structure of our website.
