SVBF Talking Music: Burleigh & the New World Symphony @Central Library
The Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival presents music historian and author Jean Snyder, who will discuss the life of 20th Century African-American composer/arranger Harry T. Burleigh and his important influence on Antonín Dvořák's famous "New World" Symphony. This engaging lecture will feature a live performance of songs by Burleigh as well.
