  • The documents presented here represent a selection of primary sources available in several ProQuest databases. The databases represented in this website include American Periodicals, Black Abolitionist Papers, ProQuest History Vault, ProQuest Congressional, Supreme Court Insight and Alexander Street’s Black Thought and Culture. The goal of this website is to provide a selection of primary source documents that may be used by a wide range of students, from middle and high school students to college students and independent scholars.

  • Booklist Reader is a free digital magazine from the America Library Association that features diverse reading recommendations for readers of all ages.

  • Offers personalized academic assistance in core subjects (math, reading, writing, Languages, science, and computer programming), practice tests for skills-building (including SAT preparation), and much more. Live tutoring is available in either English or Spanish from 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM EST. Students may submit papers to HelpNow’s Writing Lab for expert assistance and feedback.  Requires a library card number for login outside of the library.

  • Provides live help and online resources to guide you through the steps to get a job, including building a resume, live interview coaching, and personality & career assessments. Live job coaches are available from 2 – 11 PM. Requires a library card number for login outside of the library.

  • Supports veterans and their families with navigating the VA bureaucracy, providing academic tutoring, career resources, and employment transition assistance. Live help is available with a veteran navigator or job coach. Requires a library card number for login outside of the library.

  • Has ratings, recommendations, test results, and buying guides for thousands of products and services.  There are also informational articles on a range of different topics such as new products, house and yard upkeep, and product recalls. Requires a library card number for login outside of the library.

  • Offers over 1,000 free video classes in drawing, painting, sketchbooking, sewing, quilting, knitting, jewelry making, and much more. New classes are added daily. Requires a library card number for login outside of the library.

  • Educational resource on topics in dementia for patients, families, and caregivers.

  • A language learning application that uses an immersion method of learning. Includes 28 languages.  Requires a library card number for login outside of the library. 

  • A statistics database that has more than 1,000,000 statistics. It also has topic dossiers, studies, industry reports, and market forecasts for businesses. Patrons who have a Massanutten Regional Library card can request a password to access Statista.   • Endorsed by the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), Storyline Online® features over 70 read-alouds in its digital library, and provides free educational activity guides for teachers in classrooms, as well as parents with school-age children at home, to offer additional learning resources and support.

  • An online language learning program offering over 80 languages. This program also has ESL programs for speakers of many other languages.  In order to use Transparent Language Online, each patron needs to set up a username and password to track personal progress.  A library card number is required to set this up.  You may also sign in as a guest with only a library card.

  • Offers more than 500 online courses, which are either self-paced or instructor-led. Classes offered cover a wide variety of topics such as accounting, computers, writing, cooking, crafts, and many more. Requires a library card number for login outside of the library.

  • Aims to help residents of the Valley connect with experts, organizations, and funding to start their business venture. It is a project of the Shenandoah Valley Partnership, the Shenandoah Valley Tech Council, and the Shenandoah Community Capital Fund.
