Black Freedom – The documents presented here represent a selection of primary sources available in several ProQuest databases. The databases represented in this website include American Periodicals, Black Abolitionist Papers, ProQuest History Vault, ProQuest Congressional, Supreme Court Insight and Alexander Street’s Black Thought and Culture. The goal of this website is to provide a selection of primary source documents that may be used by a wide range of students, from middle and high school students to college students and independent scholars.

Encyclopedia Virginia –  Encyclopedia Virginia (EV) is a reliable and user-friendly resource on the history and culture of Virginia.

EBSCO Read It! – provides those who have a basic foundation in grammar and reading with quality educational articles on a range of topics such as history, literature, science and life skills. Requires a library card number for login outside of the library.

Famous First Facts – Informs and entertains with over 8,000 fascinating “firsts” in history. Requires a library card number for login outside of the library.

Find It Virginia – Access a variety of academic and popular databases relating to a multitude of topics such as biographies, business, health and wellness, and computers. Requires a library card number for login outside of the library.

Gale Legal Forms – Provides professionally written, national and state-specific attorney forms to help you participate in your legal affairs and common legal procedures with confidence. Requires a library card number for login outside of the library.

ProQuest – Database of scholarly journal and popular magazine articles. Requires a library card number for login outside of the library.

Reference Shelf – A carefully selected collection of articles and documents provide balanced coverage, supported by comprehensive background information, on the topics of vital interest in our fast-changing world. Requires a library card number for login outside of the library.

Statista – A statistics database that has more than 1,000,000 statistics. It also has topic dossiers, studies, industry reports, and market forecasts for businesses. Patrons who have a Massanutten Regional Library card can request a password to access Statista. Please email reference@mrlib.org or call 540-434-4475 x122 to retrieve the password.
