You will need your Student Access Card (SAC) ID Number for resources with an asterisk (*). Some resources may ask for a barcode or library card number or patron ID, this is your SAC number.

*EBSCO Read It! – provides those who have a basic foundation in grammar and reading with quality educational articles on a range of topics such as history, literature, science and life skills.

*Famous First Facts – Informs and entertains with over 8,000 fascinating “firsts” in history.

Find It Virginia – Access a variety of academic and popular databases relating to a multitude of topics such as biographies, business, health and wellness, and computers.

*Heritage Quest – Research family history using census data, Revolutionary War records, family history books, and more.

*ProQuest – Database of scholarly journal and popular magazine articles.

*Reference Shelf – A carefully selected collection of articles and documents provide balanced coverage, supported by comprehensive background information, on the topics of vital interest in our fast-changing world.

Statista – A statistics database that has more than 1,000,000 statistics on over 80,000 topics. Students can request a password to access Statista. Please email reference@mrlib.org or call 540-434-4475 x122 to retrieve the password.
